Frequently asked questions
Is a letter sent through PostPal legally valid?
Yes. PostPal physically prints and mails your letter through Canada Post, the same as if you mailed it yourself. Whether the letter satisfies a specific legal requirement depends on the law that governs it (for example, some statutes require registered mail). Check the underlying requirement before sending.
Can I send a registered or certified letter?
PostPal currently sends letters as standard lettermail through Canada Post. If your matter requires registered mail, signature confirmation, or proof of receipt, you will need a registered service. We are happy to recommend a route for those cases — contact us before paying.
How long does it take to arrive?
Domestic letters in Canada arrive in 2-4 business days after we mail them. International letters take 6-12 business days. We mail within 24 hours of payment on business days.
Can I include attachments or exhibits?
Yes. You can attach up to five documents (PDFs or images) to be printed and mailed with the letter. Additional pages are included up to the standard page limit at no extra charge.
Will my letter be private?
Yes. Letters are reviewed only to prevent illegal content (threats, scams). They are not stored, indexed, or shared. Files are deleted from our systems after mailing.
Can I keep a copy for my records?
Yes. You receive an email receipt with the date the letter was submitted, and you can download a PDF copy of the printed letter from your order page.
