How much does it cost to send mail with PostPal?
PostPal costs $6 CAD for domestic mail within Canada and $12 CAD for international mail. This flat rate includes everything: printing, envelope, postage, and delivery. There are no hidden fees.
What is PostPal?
PostPal is an online mail service that lets you send physical letters without going to the post office. You type or upload your letter online, and we print it, put it in an envelope, add postage, and mail it through Canada Post.
How do I send a letter online in Canada?
Go to postpal.ca, click "Send Mail," enter your letter content and addresses, then pay. We handle everything else - printing, envelope, stamp, and mailing. It's printed within 1 business day and in the mail the next, and most letters arrive 5–9 business days after you order.
Is PostPal cheaper than going to the post office?
For most people, yes. You also need paper, envelope, printer ink, and time to go to a mailbox. PostPal's $6 flat rate includes everything, and you never leave home. The first 2 pages are included, so most letters cost the flat rate.
How long does delivery take?
Domestic mail within Canada typically takes 2–4 business days. International mail typically takes 6–12 business days depending on the destination. With PostPal, add the time to print and hand over: your letter is printed within 1 business day and in the mail the next, so most letters arrive 5–9 business days after you order. Postal times are Canada Post's estimates, not guarantees, and mail can run a few days longer, especially around holidays. Once your letter is mailed, its tracking page shows the dates it should arrive.
Can I send mail without a printer?
Yes! That's exactly what PostPal is for. You type your letter online or upload a PDF, and we print it for you. No printer needed.
Can I attach documents or PDFs?
Yes, you can upload PDF documents and we'll print them along with your letter. The flat rate covers multi-page documents.
Do I need to create an account?
No account is required to send mail. You can create an optional free account to save addresses and view your order history.
Can I send mail internationally?
Yes, PostPal delivers worldwide for $12 CAD flat. We mail to any country that Canada Post serves.
What if I don't have a return address?
You can skip adding your return address. We offer two options: use PostPal's office address (so we can notify you of any delivery issues) or send with no return address at all.
Is my letter private and secure?
Yes. You can even send your letter without a return address, so it stays anonymous to the recipient. We only use your letter to print, mail, and support your order and to meet our legal obligations — we keep it only long enough to handle any delivery issues, then delete it, and we never share or sell its contents.
Can I track my letter?
Standard lettermail through Canada Post is not tracked. This keeps costs low. For most letters, tracking isn't necessary since delivery rates are very high.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) through our secure Stripe payment system.
Can I cancel or edit my letter after ordering?
Email [email protected] right away. You can cancel or change a letter until it goes to print, which is usually within a few hours of your order (scheduled letters: before the mail date; registered mail: before it goes to Canada Post). Once it's printed it's on its way and can't be stopped. Orders are final, but if we stop yours in time we may issue a partial refund at our discretion.
What size paper do you print on?
We print on standard 8.5" x 11" letter-size paper in black and white by default, then fold it to fit a standard business envelope. Prefer colour? Add colour printing for a flat $1.
Can I send registered mail, and what proof do I get?
Yes. Add Canada Post Registered Mail when you send a letter ($31 all-in). We email you the tracking number, Canada Post collects a signature on delivery, and once it's delivered we email you a proof pack: one PDF with the full tracking history, Canada Post's delivery confirmation certificate with the recipient's signature, and a copy of your letter exactly as it was mailed.
