Job applications

Mail a resume and cover letter online

Some applications still have to arrive on paper — government and civil-service postings, union halls, and employers that ask for a mailed application. Upload your resume and cover letter exactly as you formatted them, enter the employer's address, and we print and mail them through Canada Post within 24 hours.

How it works

Four steps. Most letters take under two minutes from sign-in to mailed.

  1. 1

Upload your resume and cover letter

Upload the PDF you already have. Fonts, layout, and formatting print exactly as designed — or write the cover letter from our template.

  2. 2

    Enter the employer's address

Address it to the hiring manager, HR department, or the address given in the job posting.

  3. 3

    Pay the flat fee

One price covers paper, envelope, postage, and Canada Post delivery.

  4. 4

    We mail within 24 hours

You receive a dated email confirmation, and the PDF copy stays on your order page.

Who this is for

  • Applicants to government, civil-service, or public-sector postings that require paper
  • Tradespeople applying to union halls and apprenticeship programs
  • Job seekers mailing a direct application to a local business or head office
  • Anyone applying without access to a printer

Common use cases

Government and civil-service applications

Some public-sector and civil-service postings still require or accept applications by mail to a specific address.

Union halls and apprenticeships

Many trades and union hiring processes ask for a paper application or resume dropped off or mailed in.

Standing out with a direct application

A printed resume mailed to a small business or a head office lands on a desk instead of in a crowded inbox.

Applying from another city or abroad

Mail an application to a Canadian employer without being anywhere near a printer or a post office.

Frequently asked questions

Does anyone still mail resumes?

Most applications today are online, and for a typical corporate posting you should apply through the posted channel. Mailing makes sense in specific cases: postings that explicitly ask for a mailed application (some government, civil-service, and union roles), employers with no online application, and direct approaches to small local businesses where a printed resume gets read instead of filtered.

Will my resume print the way I formatted it?

Yes. Upload it as a PDF and we render it at print quality — fonts, margins, and layout are preserved exactly. Export from Word or Google Docs as PDF before uploading.

Should I include a cover letter?

For a mailed application, yes — the cover letter is the first page the reader sees. You can upload your own or start from our free cover letter template and customize it before sending.

Can I send it by Registered Mail?

Yes. For applications with a hard deadline, you can add Canada Post Registered Mail at checkout — tracking and proof of delivery, with the tracking number emailed within 2–3 business days.

Who should I address it to?

The address in the job posting, if there is one. Otherwise, address it to the hiring manager by name if you know it, or to the HR department at the company's head office.

Is it printed in colour?

Letters print in black and white by default, which is what most resumes are designed for. If your resume uses colour, add colour printing for a flat fee at checkout.
